Meet Ashley

Ashley Acornley, MS, RD, LDN

I am  originally from Philadelphia, PA and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Kinesiology from Penn State University in August 2008. I completed my Dietetic Internship at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC in May 2010 and received my Masters of Science degree in Nutrition from Meredith College in December 2011. I am  currently on the Raleigh District Dietetic Association Board as a Membership Committee Co-Chair. I am also an AFAA certified personal trainer and have been motivating clients since 2007. I am  very sports-minded and stay active by participating in 5Ks, triathlons, half marathons, and other competitive events. I also practice boxing, yoga, tennis, and strength training at my local gym. Besides physical activity, I have found a new interest for cooking and baking and write about it in my local food blog “Fresh From the Farm.” I am especially interested in corporate wellness and sports dietetics and enjoy teaching my clients how to stay healthy, motivated, and physically active! My goal is to become a CSSD in the near future. Visit my blog at: http://www.ashleyfreshfromthefarm.wordpress.com
